Community Based Adult Services (CBAS)

This program is available to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries who are enrolled in a Medi-Cal managed care plan such as Health Plan of San Joaquin, Health Net, Kaiser / Medi-Cal or others. This benefit is called Community Based Adult Services (CBAS). Eligibility to participate in a CBAS program is determined by the beneficiary's Medi-Cal managed care plan. Eligible candidates are persons 18 years of age, older adults and frail elderly with chronic disabilities, including cognitive, medical, mental, and physical conditions, placing them at risk of institutional care.
